Beaches

Sarti Beach in Sithonia, Greece, is a 3 km long, Blue Flag beach known for its white sand, clear turquoise waters, and family-friendly shallow shore. It offers both busy and quiet areas, great views of Mount Athos, and a refreshing breeze in summer. It’s ideal for swimming, water sports, and relaxing in a beautiful natural setting.

About 1.5 km north of Sarti, Achlada is a peaceful bay with three small beaches (60, 100, and 350 meters long). Easily accessible, it features fine sand, clear blue waters, and a protective pier for fishing boats. Loved by campers, both organized and free, Achlada offers a quiet retreat close to Sarti.

Platanitsi Beach is located 5 km north of Sarti and is known for its beautiful 550-meter sandy shore and the popular Afri-Cafe beach bar. Access is controlled through a campsite, and the beach is split by a small stream. With stunning green-blue waters and a view of Mount Athos, it offers a well-organized, scenic spot for swimming and relaxing.

About 6 km north of Sarti, Kavourotripes (“crab-holes”) is a stunning 5 km stretch of small, hidden beaches with turquoise waters, rock formations, and views of Mount Athos. Reaching them requires navigating steep dirt roads or rough coastal paths. Most beaches are undeveloped and isolated, popular with free campers. Only Orange Beach is organized, while others like Almyrompares and Kampouris (Dukina) offer natural beauty and rock sculptures in a peaceful, wild setting.

Located 12 km north of Sarti, Armenistis Beach features turquoise waters, fine sand, and a 600-meter-long organized campsite. Access is controlled through a forest path of about 400 meters, with limited visiting hours. Holding a Blue Flag, it’s one of Greece’s top campsites, offering a well-maintained, scenic, and relaxing beach experience.

Zografou Beach, 9 km south of Vourvourou, is accessed through the Porto Elea campsite, with a small entrance fee after 2 hours. The beach features scenic bays between high rocks, emerald waters, and a mix of sand, gravel, and pebbles. Surrounded by lush vegetation, it offers full facilities including parking, a bar, restaurant, water sports, and beach amenities, making it a well-organized and beautiful retreat.

Kalamitsi, a small village 25 km south of Sarti, has three beaches, including a quiet nudist bay. The main 450-meter beach is well organized with sunbeds, beach bars, restaurants, and a small harbor. Sheltered from wind and waves, it’s ideal for relaxing. With campsites, fish taverns, and scenic views, Kalamitsi is a great summer destination.

Klimataria Beach is located 15 km south of Sarti, about a 15-minute drive. Accessible via Sykia or the Kriaritsi road, it offers sunbeds, umbrellas, and quality taverns. With calm, shallow waters, it’s perfect for families and ideal for a full day of relaxation by the sea.

About 12 km south of Sarti, near Sykia Golf, Linaraki is a small sandy beach with sunbeds, umbrellas, and a good tavern. Just 1 km further south, Pigadaki is another small beach offering a few nice taverns, perfect for a relaxed seaside visit.

Located 32 km south of Sarti, Porto Koufo is Greece’s deepest natural harbor, featuring a large sandy beach with beautiful clear waters. The nearby village offers good restaurants and a port for boats and fishermen, making it a charming coastal destination.

Just 11 km south of Sarti, Sykia Beach is a large Blue Flag beach near the village of Sykia. It features a long sandy shore, clear waters, and several beach bars, with ALATI being a recommended spot to visit.
